Prof. Eric Koech, PH.D., MBS

Prof. Eric Koech is a distinguished academic and leader in the field of agroforestry, currently serving as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Kabianga in Kericho County, Kenya. With a career spanning over three decades, he has made significant contributions to higher education, research, and sustainable natural resource management.

He holds a Ph.D. in Agroforestry from the University of Wales, UK, earned between 1992 and 1995. Additionally, he obtained a Master of Science in Plant Pathology from McGill University, Canada, in 1986, and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the University of Nairobi, Kenya, in 1981. His academic journey also includes certifications in governance, leadership, and higher education management.
